Simon joined Lightrock in 2026. Prior to Lightrock, Simon was a Director at British International Investment (BII), the UK's Development Finance Institution, where he oversaw BII's market building activities as well as its advisory support to portfolio companies across Africa and Asia. He was formerly Senior Vice President, Partnerships & Impact at Konexa, a Shell Foundation spin-off pioneering an integrated energy distribution model combining grid and off-grid technologies in Nigeria.
Simon holds a BA and MA in International Relations and Governance from the University of St. Gallen, and an MSc in International Management from the Global Alliance in Management Education (CEMS).
