Lightrock welcomes Kathleen Bacon to its Board of Directors

18 September 2023, London: Lightrock, the global impact investor that backs purpose-driven companies, is delighted to announce that it has appointed Kathleen Bacon to its Board of Directors, with immediate effect.

Kathleen joins Lightrock’s Board of Directors with more than twenty-five years of private market investing experience, gained as part of a successful and ongoing career at HarbourVest Partners, in both developed and developing markets. Her prior experience includes a role within the First National Bank of Boston, where she operated in a position serving trans-Atlantic clients. Kathleen also serves on the British Venture Capital Association’s Council and is a founder ofLevel20, an organisation dedicated to attracting and retaining women in the private market investment industry.

Kathleen’s appointment follows an important period of strategic development for Lightrock. Since 2021, Lightrock has raised more than $2bn, launched three impact strategies, opened an office within the EU (Utrecht),  and announced its ambition to expand into the complementary asset class of global small-cap equities.
