30 January 2024, London: Lightrock, the global impact investing platform that backs purpose-driven companies, is pleased to announce its recent certification as a B Corp. This certification underscores the Lightrock platform’s commitment to positive impact and sustainable business practices.

Securing B Corp Certification demonstrates Lightrock's adherence to high standards of verified performance, accountability, and transparency across multiple criteria such as employee benefits, charitable giving, supply chain practices, and input materials. Through the certification process, Lightrock has exhibited commendable social and environmental performance, revised its corporate governance structure for enhanced stakeholder accountability, and maintained transparency in business operations.

Lightrock now stands among the 1,800 B Corps headquartered in the UK, achieving a score of 112.4 on its first certification—surpassing the national average of 95 for UK-based B Corps.

This certification follows Lightrock's recent recognition as the Impact Investor of the Year 2023 by a panel of industry judges at the Real Deals ESG Awards.

Joining the global B Corp community represents a natural evolution of Lightrock's ongoing impact-related collaboration and engagement programs, which aim to support growth and innovation at an industry-level while also enabling continuous improvement of the platform practices.
