Jan provides senior counsel to several mission-driven organisation, drawing upon extensive experience gained across private equity and corporate banking.
Since 2011, he has led the private equity portfolio at the First Swedish National Pension Fund (AP1), overseeing investment strategy, manager selection, and portfolio monitoring. In 2021, he co-led the development of AP1's sustainability-focused investment framework aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Throughout his private equity career, he has deployed over SEK 50 billion across 140+ funds globally and served on 25+ investor advisory committees.
Prior to AP1, Jan co-managed Nordea Investment Management's private equity funds of funds platform, raising and investing four funds. He was instrumental in the 2007 spin-out that created North Sea Capital. He began his career in corporate banking with Svenska Handelsbanken and Unibank/Nordea across the Nordics.
