Shakir joined Lightrock in 2016. Prior to Lightrock, Shakir oversaw the Africa health and East African portfolios of Aureos Capital, and deployed funds in early-stage technology businesses in the US and Europe.
Shakir holds a BSc in Accounting, Finance, & Economics and an MSc in Information Systems from the London School of Economics.
